At The Lounge HQ Limited (trading as The Blow Lounge), we take privacy seriously and will only use the information we collect to provide our services. We do not share or sell the information we collect for any other purpose other than to remind you about your appointments and to send you the occasional email about our latest news or offers.

WHO WE ARE

We are The Lounge HQ Limited trading as The Blow Lounge, a privately owned company. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU

We collect the minimum amount of information about you when you book an appointment for a service or treatment, visit the salon for a service or treatment, apply for a job, whether contact is online, on paper, by email or over the phone.

The information you give us may include your name, address, email address, phone number, relevant history – for example dates of services, colour formula codes, your preferred stylists, payment and transaction information and even how you like your coffee!

For clients under the age of 16, we will only keep and use their personal information with the consent of a parent, carer or guardian.

HOW INFORMATION ABOUT YOU WILL BE USED

In law, we are allowed to use personal information, including sharing it outside the salon, only if we have a proper reason to do so, for example:

• To fulfil a contract with you i.e. to provide the service or treatment you have requested and to communicate with you about your appointments. We will contact you via phone, email or SMS. We consider your having made the appointment as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt-out at any time.

• After visiting us, we may send you an email or SMS asking you to rate our services and provide feedback. We consider your agreement and participation in the service as consent to undertake this activity but, if you want, you may opt out at any time.

• When you purchase something from our online store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

• When you browse our online store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

• We will not undertake phone, mail, email or SMS marketing without you first providing consent for us to do so. Of course, you may opt out of receiving marketing material at any time.

We have rigorous data protection and security policies in place with all our suppliers.

Our team have access to the following details: your name, telephone number and email address. The team are not able to download any details electronically.

We will not share your information with any other third party without your consent except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.

MARKETING

We would like to send you information about products and services which may be of interest to you. We will ask for your consent to receive marketing information.

If you have consented to receiving marketing, you may opt out at a later date.

EMPLOYMENT

The information we collect about employees, the purposes it is used for and who it will be shared with is set out in our employment contracts and employee handbook.

HOW LONG YOUR INFORMATION WILL BE KEPT FOR

Unless requested otherwise by yourself, your information will be kept for a minimum of 6 years. After this time we will delete all your personal information, except for your name, relevant client history (e.g. allergy test records which we keep for 4 years) and financial transactions (which we are obliged to keep for 6 years).

Information about unsuccessful job applicants will be deleted after one year.

THIRD PARTY SERVICES

We use numerous leading software solutions within our business to provide the services listed above. These software solutions store and process data in numerous locations outside our business premise. Please contact us if you wish for a list of providers.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

ACCESS TO YOUR INFORMATION AND CORRECTION

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. This will normally be free, unless we consider the request to be unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a fee to cover our administration costs.

E-NEWSLETTERS

We email e-newsletters to inform you about products, services and treatments provided by our salon as well as discounts to use inside our online store. You have the opportunity to unsubscribe from e-newsletters at any time.

E-newsletters may contain subscriber tracking facilities within the actual email, for example, whether emails were opened or forwarded, which links were clicked on within the email content, the times, dates and frequency of activity. We use this information to refine future email campaigns and provide you with more relevant content based around your activity.

USE OF COOKIES

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. CCTV and Wi-Fi

We use CCTV within our premises. You have the right to see any footage that contains images of you within the salon. This footage is kept for up to six weeks.

We provide free guest Wi-Fi to our clients. We do not collect any data.
